The former kumasi Asante Kotoko SC dribbling magician parted ways with the Reds after failing to make the grade at the Baba Yara Stadium.
With no competitive football in the country and no player movement, Baba Mahama made a sensational return to the Citizens in a thrilling 0-0 stalemate against a select side over the weekends.
Known as the football for sharing same name with then Ghana’s president, John Dramani Mahama, Baba Mahama stole the limelight across the 2015/16 Ghana premier league campaign.
An expected move to one of Ghana’s traditional powerhouses saw Baba settling in the famous Red Jersey but has since failed to replicate his wizardry in the Porcupine fraternity.
The arrival of Paa Kwesi Faabin ended the tenure of Baba Mahama at the camp of Kotoko SC as part of a massive overhaul at the club.
It is however still not clear whether Baba Mahama will play for Techiman City in the second tier judging by the gulf in class showed in his prime time.
Techiman City enjoyed a one off season in the topflight in the 2016 and are currently playing in the second tier of Ghana football.
