Emmanuel Tagoe, popularly known as ‘Game Boy,’ will face Vyacheslav Gusev at the Bukom Boxing Arena on 26th January, 2019 in a WBO global, WBO Africa and IBF international title bout.
Speaking to Isaac Wallace on Rainbow Sports, Manager of Game Boy, Abraham Neequaye, said, the boxer had prepared very well, his training was fine, conditionally well and very strong.
It will be the first time a Ghanaian boxer will be defending all his titles in Ghana and this will put him in a good position to become number two in his sanction body.
It will be the very first time Tagoe will be in the ring after signing for Lou Dibella promotions in the United States.
Peter Cann, who is the special advisor for Lou Dibella, will be at the Boxing Arena to watch their boy; and International Boxing Federation (IBF) President will also be in Ghana to witness the bout.
According to the manager, they are looking forward to sign boxers into Baby Jet Promotions – boxers such as Sheriff Quaye, Michael Pappoe, Malik Jabir, among others – “and this time we are looking forward to build a camp to relocate the boxers from the community.”
