Ghana’s coronavirus tally hits 1,550 with 155 recoveries

Confirmed cases of coronavirus in Ghana have increased to 1,550 as 271 more persons have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. This is according to the Ghana Health Service’s latest update on Sunday, April 26, 2020.

The update indicates that one more person has died taking the country’s death toll to 11 while 21 additional recoveries have been recorded moving an initial count of 134 recoveries to 155. Some of the new cases were confirmed in the Oti, Greater Accra, Ashanti and the Central regions.

Out of the 271 new cases reported, about 75 of them were detected through routine surveillance while 196 were found positive through the enhanced contact tracing exercise.
