Ghana’s COVID-19 case count jumps to 5,918

Ghana has recorded 5,918 cases of Covid-19 after 183 new cases were confirmed. This is according to the Ghana Health Service latest update on Tuesday morning [May 19, 2020.]. The number of deaths have also increased to 31, the number of persons who have recovered from the virus, however, remains at 1,754.

The Accra Metropolitan and the Korle Klottey areas in the Greater Accra regions are top contributors to the new cases in the region while in the Ashanti Region, Obuasi and Kumasi Metro are leaders contributing to the 63 new cases.

Northern Region – 31
