Ghanaian rapper Strongman Burner who recently took an exit from Sarkodie’s Sarkcess Music record label, has said he has never had a problem with fellow rapper Medikal winning the Rapper Of The Year award at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards as some may think.
The two who have been trending all weekend over what seem to may have started from Medikal’s tweet saying “He saved Ghana rap four years ago”, didn’t go down well with the most music lovers as well as his fellow rapper Strongman Burner.
Speaking to Mamavi on the Cosmopolitan Mix on Joy FM today, Strongman was asked if he thinks Medikal deserved the award. In his response, he said he wasn’t surprised Medikal won the category because the VGMA board failed to nominate him despite his efforts in the year under review.
“I did a whole of rap songs last year and i wasn’t even nominated. If someone else has done same and was nominated i cant really question the board.” he stated.
