NDC chair Samuel Ofosu Ampofo arrested

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has been arrested by the Police.

The NDC chair, according to reports, has been taken to his home for a search as part of investigations into kidnapping allegations against him.

He is currently at the Police headquarters in the company of his lawyers.

The arrest comes weeks after Mr. Ofosu Ampofo refused to honour an invitation by the Police CID to report at the headquarters of the investigative body.

Sources say he was picked at the home of another kingpin of the party.

Members of the party have reportedly massed up at the Police headquarters.

The NDC chair has allegedly been accused by a suspect of kidnapping case as the mastermind of the crime.
